Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA)


The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is the most significant compliance challenge facing qualifying organizations in 2015. PPACA, also known as the Affordable Card Act, ACA, and Obamacare, is a new regulation that defines whether employees are qualified for employer paid health insurance. It requires larger employers (50+ full-time employees, including full time equivalents) to provide affordable health coverage to all employees working full time.

PPACA Phase III

PPACA Report A PPACA report includes information related to PPACA, such as the control group category, measurement period, and so on.
PPACA Operation in Configuration Tool PPACA database initialization and default employee operations can be executed in the Configuration Tool.
Calculate Employee Period Activity Operation The Calculate Employee Period Activity operation can be used for creating a PPACA process to calculate the Period Activity for all employees. This operation builds weekly and monthly Period Activity for the current Measurement Period.
Determine PPACA Full Time Designations Operation The Determine PPACA Full Time Designations operation can be used for locating unaddressed expired Measurement Periods and address employees in these periods using default recommendations for employees who are allowed to receive automatic recommendations.
