2013 finalists

(January 29, 2013) Northville, Michigan — Attendance on Demand is pleased to announce that the deployment of its cloud-based employee time and attendance service at YWCA of Central Carolinas was named a finalist in the Information Security Product Guide's 2013 Global Excellence Awards. Two of the organization's recently published white papers also received finalist designations through the program.

Now in their ninth year, the prestigious Global Excellence Awards recognize advanced, ground-breaking products and solutions that are raising the bar in all areas of technology. The Attendance on Demand deployment at YWCA of Central Carolinas is one of eight finalists in the "Best Deployments and Case Studies – USA" category while the organization's white papers are two of three finalists in the "White Papers, Technology Write-Ups and IT Blogs" category. Winners in all categories will be announced in San Francisco on February 27.

The deployment recognition acknowledges the benefits YWCA of Central Carolinas has experienced with Attendance on Demand. For example, the non-profit has trimmed its costs 35 percent and cut its time and attendance processing time in half since launching the service.

Attendance on Demand's two honored white papers are:
"Managing Internships: Paid and Unpaid" This paper provides a thorough explanation of how to structure internships to comply with the FLSA criteria for unpaid and/or paid internships.
"Avoiding Misclassification Mishaps: How Employees Can Protect Themselves from Employee Misclassification" This report identifies what readers can do to ensure correct classification of independent contractors and employees, avoiding the serious consequences of misclassification.

The white papers are acknowledged for their rich content and success in educating business owners, HR and legal staff on issues that affect the ability to effectively track, schedule and report workforce time and attendance.

"We are pleased that Attendance on Demand has been honored with three finalist designations through this global awards program," said Beth Baerman, Attendance on Demand Product Communications Manager. "This is our second consecutive year of Global Excellence recognition for meeting the time and attendance management needs of today's businesses, across many industries."
